This is my friend Donald. He is an Oakland Firefighter. Actually, he is the Engineer. During Fire Safety Week, he came to my classroom and did an incredible presentation to my students. They got to try on his turnouts, practice "stop, drop, and roll", and ask LOTS of questions. I don't remember a time when they were all so engaged. I am so grateful that he would come on his day off and spend time with my class. He came prepared with worksheets, hats, stickers, videos, everything!
Thank you Donald!
The kids had a blast seeing me all decked out in Engineer Bozman's turnouts. Maybe I should look into a career change!
